Hey, I’m Kyle.
I’m a writer who loves to distill complex information into stories that help readers understand the world around them. I work as a news writer in the Office of University Communications at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where I get to write about talented people doing incredible things at a place that I love.
I have a degree in journalism from UArizona and I used to work as a newspaper reporter in Tucson and Washington state. I also like to take photos, and I’m an FAA-certified drone pilot.
For what it’s worth, I also:
have a red heeler mix named Arlo who loves fetch;
enjoy commuting by bicycle;
am a student in the Master of Legal Studies program at the UArizona James E. Rogers College of Law;
can solve a Rubik’s Cube in two minutes, a skill that has proven to be entirely useless – except for becoming the life of a party where there happens to be a Rubik’s Cube (and only for two minutes).
I try my best to keep this site updated with the work that I’m really proud of. Thanks for stopping by. If you want to get in touch, find me at kyle.mittan@gmail.com.
